Community Guidelines
Everybody is welcome
Singles, couples and polycules, all genders, all colours, all shapes. With time we will provide different options with more affordable rates. If you want to participate but can't afford the fees, you can apply as a volunteer and become part of the shame LESS community and help us organise our events.
Racism, homophobia, xenophobia, body shaming and other toxic behaviour are unacceptable.
We strictly prohibit the exchange of sexual favors for monetary or other benefits during our events or through our platform. While we do not condemn sex work in general, it is essential to emphasize our clear separation from such activities.
Vulnerability
We don’t define people by their sexual orientation or shape but rather by their mindset and willingness to communicate and connect with others in an honest, healthy, and vulnerable way. Of course, you are not required to share anything you’re uncomfortable with, but prepare to hear exciting stories and discover the different lifestyles of other participants. Try to empathise without judging or projecting your own experience onto theirs. Learn, teach, live, let live and have fun.
Take care of each other
Our community is expected to care for each other's physical, emotional and mental well-being. Basic human decency, respect and kindness are required at all times. Please alert the awareness team if you notice anybody struggling or needing medical attention or help.
Consent is key
We believe in the concept of healthy hedonism. In brief, we seek to establish a balance between pleasure and mindfulness. Hedonism is not just about sexual pleasure - while it's part of it and a part we seek to embrace, explore and enjoy at the launch party.
Your freedom ends where another person's freedom begins. We expect you to consider this at any time when attending our events. We aspire to create a safe space for every community member, which is only possible if we respect and accept each other's boundaries — physically and mentally.
We desire to create an atmosphere where anyone is welcome to experiment while keeping the provided guidelines in mind. However, there is no pressure to participate in anything you don’t feel comfortable with.
Communication is key, and that goes both ways. Always check in with your counterpart before taking it to the next level, and vice versa - always communicate any discomfort you might experience.
No form of dissent will be accepted at our events. In case you experience or witness any intrusive behaviour, make sure to report it to our awareness team immediately.
Privacy
To guarantee personal safety and ease of mind for all our members, during the party, all phone cameras will be taped over. You can store your phone in the wardrobe at your own risk. Members trying to take pictures inside the party location will be asked to leave immediately. At the party, we will have professional event photographers taking pictures everywhere except the playrooms. By attending the event, you also agree to be part of the photos and us using those photos to promote future events.
Environment
Please be mindful of your cigarette buds and don’t burn any furniture or carpets if present in the smoking area. Please recycle your trash and try not to waste food and drinks. Healthy hedonism means also knowing your limits. We encourage everyone to clean up after themselves and be proactive in helping to protect the beautiful spaces we enjoy.
Networking & Aftercare
The connections that we can create within our community are beyond most social norms. We create, engage, fall in love, separate, experiment, start businesses and charities - and so much more. Cherish all the individuals and help us to attract even more like-minded souls. Recommend us to your friends, and please make sure to tag @shame.less.society in case you post anything related to us on social media.
